Why is everyone so thin?

Nowadays, everyone is obscenely thin. It is a little scary. Like not to be rude by why am I seeing so much bone.

I feel like this stems from the abnormal beauty standards that society plays into. Society always wants women to conform themselves to make men feel better, which should never happen! Men get on social media and comment on how fat women are, saying they should only weigh 120 pounds. Absurd behavior, in my opinion. Are you the chief of a woman’s body? I know some women like that, but wake up, ostrich; that’s not a good thing at all.

It's like everyone is on Ozempic or taking peptide shots. I thought Ozempic was for diabetic people, so what are they going to use? But on a serious note, everyone is scarily thin. People say they skip meals and are always calorie counting. OMG! Please just eat the food. Why deprive your body of the nutrients it needs to keep functioning?

Intermission—I had this coworker, he was in his late 30s if I remember correctly. He would always talk about how he would only eat a protein shake and that would be it for the day, and he would always go to the gym after work every day. Like babe, how are you going to have one protein shake a day? It kinda gave ED. What jarred me was when he said his daughter wanted to start working out and he was suggesting to her that she should cut down on the food if she is serious about it. HELLO???!!!! Mind you, she is in her early teenage years; that will ruin her development immensely. There was another time when our boss ordered us food. He got a salad with dressing and croutons. This motherf***er tossed the dressing and croutons away and said, “Do you know how many calories are in that dressing packet?” Like why in the hell should I care?

This whole thing of counting calories, and diet this and diet that, gets out of hand pretty quickly. Like, the ‘almond mom’ stuff. Yes, it may seem cute and cool, but it is an unusual relationship with food. Why are we starving ourselves? Saying we shouldn’t get fat. Just because you are skinny does not always equate to being healthy, especially considering the height differences in everyone, genetics, and how we carry and store fat in our bodies. Like yes, I get working out to regulate your body, but starving just defeats the whole purpose of it all.

I am entirely too greedy to even think of starving. Food is too good and I refuse to give that up just to fit into a white societal beauty standard.
